[BECA ALERT] Netflix Email Scam Targets Millions

unnamed

A scam was detected yesterday that has targeted nearly 110 million Netflix subscribers.

The scam targets subscribers and tells them that their account is about to be cancelled. The email has the subject line “Your suspension notification” and includes a link where the subscriber is taken to a fake Netflix page which requires their log-in information as well as credit card number.

The fake website includes the Netflix logo as well as several popular shows to make it seem legitimate. Anyone with Netflix accounts should remain aware, and always remember to THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK!

Warning: 2018 is likely to be a worse year for Ransomware than 2017
Sophos recently released their 2018 malware forecast, and it’s enough to make any IT Pro concerned. It is more important now than ever to make sure you are aware of what you’re clicking on: whether it’s in your inbox or on a website. You can read more about the 2018 Ransomware outlook here.
